There's just something about Lana that I love.
Maybe it's her chill hip-hopish music, her low man voice, flower crowns, or her freakishly large lips.
Either way, she is definitely one of my favorites as of right now.
(I know I'm a little late jumping on the Lana Del Rey band wagon but bear with..haha)

On a more personal note...

I was thinking about this the other day, but maybe I’ve been too nice to the people who don’t deserve it.
Sorry that’s a little harsh…

But I’m just going to come out and say it, because it’s about time.

Am I just afraid of hurting someone?

Or simply do not have the courage to stand up for myself?

Sometimes I feel like being too nice can be destructive.

People who are too nice get taken advantage of,

I’ve learned.

I’ve had numerous times in my life where I have struggled to either say "no" or stand up for myself.

Where I've been stepped on and used,

which has more often ended up in tears,

And asking myself….

What did I do?

How can people say such hurtful things?

Is it intentional?

How can they not see how much it hurts?

Is it because of their insecurities?

I visited home about a week and a half ago,

My sister said I looked genuinely happy.

I am.

I am so blessed with the people in my life,

the family that I have.

I am happy.

#ThrowbackThursday...?

So I forgot to mention this story but it's a good one...

So I've been in Idaho for a little over two months and my sister had her bridal shower on October 4th, yeah I know it's kind of old news but whatevs, so I had been trying to find a way to get down to Utah so I could be there at the bridal shower but I wasn't finding any rides so I told my mom, my sister, and friends that I wasn't able to make it down- I really didn't think I would find a ride. Anyway, so a couple days pass and I didn't even think to look on the ride board up here on campus, so I took a look and I found a ride down with my friend krysta! It was perfect...no one knew I was even coming...so I decided to make it a secret and the only person I told was my dad. haha it was so fun keeping it a secret.
So I went down right on the day of the bridal shower and my dad picked me up by the mall in Orem and he made sure that everyone had already gone to the shower by the time we had gotten home...so I got ready and waited about 15 minutes after the bridal shower had started so everyone would be there. I drove over and I walked in and I was like "I heard there was a party?" Haha and my sister was like "what theeeee............what are you doing here....?!" and my mom like came up behind me and was like "how did you get here...?!" haha it was the greatest surprise ever.
 So a couple minutes into the bridal shower my best friend Licia Lou walked in and was basically like "hi everyone" haha and I walked up to her and was like "hiii" haha the expression on everyone's faces was so funny...priceless even.

Ashley and Devin

My sister Ashley is now officially married!! She was married on Thursday, November 1, 2012. The reception was held on November 2, Friday. Her colors were navy blue, green (like on the stem of a flower), and white. It was so exciting to finally have a sibling get married! At the reception she had chocolate milk and regular milk with literally like 30 different types of cookies..I will tell you right now I am never baking or eating another cookie for a while!

It was so stressful for my mom though...but now it's over and it turned out gorgeous! I'll have to share more photos from the reception because these pictures don't do it justice...Once the pictures come back from our photographer Nickell Blair, no biggie she's amazing.

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention I went to the wrong temple at first and I had the bouquet. yeah you heard me right...I went to the Draper temple..My dad said to just go to the temple on the hill. So I did. haha. just don't ask. I made it though just in time, they had just came out of the temple when me and my little sister booked it to the front of the temple.
